maybe everything that dies someday comes back

Hey!  Long time no post.  I’m slowly working back up to speed, even though I still don’t have a studio since they still haven’t fixed the floors.  I just did up this cover for this week’s Portland Mercury.

This is my second attempt at digital painting and I think it came out pretty good.

Back-to-school

This is something I drew for the Seattle Stranger a couple months or so ago, advertising their back-to-school issue.  It sort of looks like the nerd is in love with the bully who is stealing his lunch money, but those hearts are supposed to belong to the necking couple in the seat ahead of them.

No respect

This is something I did for the Portland Mercury a few weeks back. The ghost of Rodney Dangerfield was hosting the back-to-school pullout section of the paper.

In my copious free time

I’ve been working on a secret project I think we’ll be announcing soon.  Here’s the first panel, with the words cunningly removed.   I’m hand lettering this thing, which has made me remember why I stopped hand lettering.  (Hint:  it makes my hands fall off.)
