Dear internet,

“Wary” and “weary” are not the same word.  Please keep this in mind in the future.

Thank you,

Your old pal Les

  1. Grammatical correctness rocks my world.

I have a secret wish that one day, the difference between “stationary” and “stationery” will be recognized. In the meantime, I’ll settle for the use of “loose” as an adjective, not a verb.

I actually lit up today when, after a days’ worth of asking customers at my register how they were doing, one finally said “well.”

Sigh. You can’t win ‘em all.

  2. Oh, yeah. Happy birthday.

  3. Ooh, “loose” drives me up the wall. I always read it in the archaic sense as a verb and it makes sentences not work.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! It was pretty good.

  4. my pet hate is ‘your’ vs. ‘you’re’.

That and adding apostrophe’s for plural’s.

And congrats on completing another orbit!

  5. my all-time pet peeve is when people say “i could care less” when they really mean “i couldn’t care less.”

  6. Ha, I’ve had to correct a few people on that one. :) Thank you for informing the Internets.
